- and historical landmarks: Velcha, Lepino Buche, Razkrachenitza and Goroloma picturesque sites, the natural phenomenon Chudnite Skali (Wonder Rocks), the natural fortifications Ussoe, Grada (The Town), Krastota, The Monastery are well known for long time. There are ancient rocks of Bulgarian strongholds and monasteries. In the region one can find several mediaeval monasteries cut in the rocks, as well as medium ancient castles. Some of them are:
- Royashki Monastery – mediaeval monastery cut in the rock;
- Old Arkhovna – late ancient Celtic castle;
- The rocks of the historic St. Atanas monastery.
The Ethnographic Complex in Asparukhovo village is at special interest, The old monastery school from the Bulgarian Renaissance and the stone church from 1857 are moved from their original places on the bottom of the Tzonevo Dam Lake and build up in their original shape. There are 3 more old country houses, moved in the same way, where ethnographic expositions could be seen, which represent the life and culture of the local people. The restored country houses keep the beauty of the old-time Bulgarian villages. The restored houses are built in the well-known Kamchiya-style, which is a true artist work, due to the individuality and abilities of the self-taught past-masters.
- Ecology: In the area of the Municipality there are no significant polluters. As local polluters can be mentioned only some woodworking shops.

CHUDNITE SKALI [NATURE MONUMENT]

Designated with Decree No. 1869/17.02.1949 with area 12.5 ha. The rocks are located at the Luda Kamchia river, in the grounds of the village of Asparukhovo, Dalgopol Municipality, Varna District. The area has a specific landscape - a rock crest with unique rock formations, which is a habitat for rare representatives of the avifauna.
It is accessible and suitable for birdwatching. The activities prohibited in the region of the site are: making drawings and inscriptions on the rocks; ripping off, breaking and excavating stones, as well as any other activities resulting in damaging the rocks' natural forms; exploitation of quarries.

KUZA SKOKA [NATURE MONUMENT]

Designated with Decree No. 1801/26.07.1961 with area 1 ha. It is located in the grounds of the village of Lopushna, Dalgopol Municipality, Varna District. The site is a natural waterfall about 10 m high. The area is difficult to access, because of which the waterfall is excellently preserved.
The activities prohibited in the region of the site are: opening quarries; changing the river course and any other activities, which spoil the natural environment or damage the rocks around the waterfall.

PREGRADA [PROTECTED AREA]
Designated in 1968, and with Decree No. RD-823/23.08.2002 recategorized, with area 3.5 ha. Located in the grounds of the village of Debelets, Dalgopol Municipality, Varna District. The area covers a venerate forest of Durmast and Hungarian Oak, 120-140 years old.
In the area there are also remnants of a Roman wall, dated IV-V c. AD. The region is difficult to access by car.
The activities prohibited in the region of the protected area are: felling, except thinning and sanitary; grazing; opening quarries and any other activities, which would result in damaging or destruction of old trees.

SINI VIR [NATURE MONUMENT]

Designated with Decree No. 37/11.01.1968 with area 4 ha. It is located in the grounds of the village of Debelets, Dalgopol Municipality, Varna District.
The area has a specific landscape - a three-level waterfall with preserved venerate forests of beech and oak around it.
Visitor infrastructure has been established nearby by State Forestry Service "Tsonevo".
The activities prohibited in the region of the site are: pruning and felling trees; picking up and pulling out plants; opening quarries, mining, geological and other activities changing the area's natural appearance or water regime; chasing or killing wild animals, destroying their nests or lairs; grazing.

VARBOV DOL [MANAGED RESERVE]
The reserve is designated in 1968, and with Decree No. 385/15.10.1999 recategorized, with area 70.6 ha.
It is located close to the village of Tsonevo, Dalgopol Municipality, Varna District. It occupies huge typical old Hungarian- and Common-Oak forests of natural origin with valuable venerate trees. The reserve's forests are not affected by human activities.
The reserve is partially accessible for cars by forest roads.
The activities prohibited in the reserve are: construction of buildings and roads; picking or destroying grass, shrub and tree vegetation, as well as collecting herbs; planting non-local species; movement of people out of the marked trails and places; hunting; chasing and killing any kind of animal and destroying their nests or lairs; opening quarries, as well as any other activities spoiling the area's natural appearance or water regime; grazing; camping and lighting fires.
To limit the human impact on the managed reserve a buffer zone with area 60.5 ha has been designated (Decree No. 761/12.08.1986). The activities prohibited in the limits of the buffer zone are: construction of buildings and roads; changing the water regime and the natural appearance of the area; applying chemical substances for plant protection; camping and lighting fires out of the designated places; hunting; planting non-local tree species.

VODENITSITE [PROTECTED AREA]
Designated in 1987, with Decree No. RD-815/23.08.2002 recategorized, with area 45 ha.
It is located in the grounds of the villages Sladka Voda and Kamen Dyal, Dalgopol Municipality, Varna District.
The area includes a natural forest with three tributaries of the Kamchia river, running through it and rock crests, hosting rare and protected flora and fauna. There are also 10 karsts caves and rock niches. The region is a nesting habitat of Golden Eagle, Egyptian Vulture, Long-legged Buzzard, Raven, Eagle Owl, Somber Tit, Kestrel, etc.
Tourist infrastructure has been established in the area - paved alleys, restored drinking fountains, rest and picnic places, shelters, toilets, children playgrounds and a birdwatch tower. In the area there is a preserved prehistoric stone temple and remnants of a Celtic fortress of the III c. BC.
The protected area is accessible by an asphalt road.
The activities prohibited in the region of the protected area are: construction of any kind; killing, catching and disturbing birds, destroying nests and collecting young birds or eggs; hunting; opening quarries, mining, geological and other activities changing the area's natural appearance or water regime; felling, except thinning and sanitary; grazing; entering, passing or parking of motor vehicles.






There are to reserves on the territory of the municipality:
- Kalfata – it is announced as a reserve in 1968 with aim to preserve the local forest and grass species, which are typical for the most Eastern part of the Balkan, situated between the Aytoss pass and the Luda Kamchija River. It includes centuries-old mixed deciduous forests of oaks, beech-trees, eastern beecshes, etc., which are in very good shape. This reserve is on the territory of Polyayzite village.
- Varbov Dol – it is announced as a reserve in 1968 with aim to preserve the typical foothill forest belt of oak and forest vegetation. It includes oak and beach-tree forests, on the territory of Asparukhovo village.
Predominating game and fish species are :
- Inhabitant animals for hunting – red dears, stags, roes, wild boars, wild rabbits, wolfs, jackals, foxes, martens, polecats, badgers, weasels, etc..
- Birds – pheasants, snipes, wood pigeons, , mallards, teals, geese.
- Fishes – carps, chubs, barbells, perches, gudgeons, sheat-fishes, etc.
Predominating species of medical herbs and forest fruits– milfoils, peppermints, boxhurbs, pennyroyal, mugwort, goose-grass, tutsans, centauries, flagellums, barberries, common balms, colt’s foots, millets, sumacs, etc.
